Guruju Handicraft

Handmade in Patan, Nepal

Sculpted by hand. Shaped by devotion.

Every piece is modelled in wax, cast in copper and finished by a single artisan over weeks of patient work.

01 — Modelling

It begins in wax

The artisan carves the form in beeswax and resin, refining every lotus petal, every jewel of the crown and every finger of the giving hand.

02 — Casting

Lost to fire

The wax model is sealed in clay and fired. The wax melts away, leaving a perfect hollow into which molten copper is poured.

03 — Finishing

Chased, gilded, painted

Freed from its mould, the figure is chased by hand, fire-gilded with gold, set with stones and painted — front and back, because the back is seen by the gods.
